Shubhankar started his dance journey with Delhi Danceworx, where he trained for 5 years. While learning Ballet he caught attention of his mentor Mr. Yehuda Ma’or due to his natural ablities. Shubhankar is very passionate about sharing knowledge, so started assisting Mr. Yehuda with the batches. To focus more on dance and learn from advance teachers along with Yehuda he moved to Bombay in 2012 and been part of Bombay Danceworx family ever since.
He has also been trained under Ashley Lobo, Ellen Davis, Mariam Butchman and Yuko Harada & Yehuda Ma'or. Since 2012 he has taught ballet to over 450 students and has transformed into a Professional Ballet Teacher. He believes that Ballet can be done by anyone as Yoga. He has also taught Navdhara India Dance Theatre (NIDT) dancers who are gaining very good reputation as dancers abroad. Shubhankar is also proud to be a mentor of Amiruddin Shah, first Indian to enter The Royal Ballet School, UK.
