Raull Chowdhary, our Tap master, is currently a member of The Indian Film Dance Directors Association (IFDDA). He had the privilege to assist the legendary choreographer Saroj Khan in the recent past. 

Raull has professionally received training in 

  • Tap dance from Oscar Unger (India) & Mina Liccione (Dubai)

  • Popping & Locking from Twilight players 

  • Bharatnatyam from Madhuparna Kumar

 

 His vision is to spread Tap dance style far and wide across India.

Syllabus

Tap classes taken by Raull, at Nritya Shakti, have a graded pattern orientation. All the way from the genesis of tap, to advanced routines, his teaching structure comprises a total 10 grades; each grade includes basic vocabulary, combinations and routines which progresses in terms of difficulty and complexity. On completion of every grade, students are asked to present a set of 2-5 routines to mark commencement of the grade they’re in and will then be promoted to the next.
